"Catholic Bishops of America: Why Show Such
Extreme Panic Over the Slaughter That Could Be Caused By A Nuclear Hecatombe And No Panic Over The Slaughter Caused By
Legalized Abortion" read a huge banner carried by a
large contingent of the American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family
and Property (TFP) in a demonstration in front of the American Bishops' offices
at the United States Catholic Conference in Washington, D.C. This and two other
striking banners elaborating on the question were also seen by the many
thousands of people participating in the 10th
Annual March for Life in the nation's capital on January 22.
The American TFP, an organization that gained
notoriety with the publication of an advertisement of six full pages against
self-managing socialism in several of the country's leading newspapers last
year, showed skepticism over the Bishops' probable response by posing the
following question: “Your Excellencies: We Already Know that You Will Greet
This Disconcerted But Filial Question With Disdain. Why? Why? Why?”
The American TFP further manifested its concern over
the bewilderment and confusion caused by the Bishops' ecumenical movement that
focuses so much on the unbelievers and so little on the faithful.
Reflecting this affliction, the demonstrators concluded
with the recitation of the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary.
